Collection Point Parcels

Collection point is a shipping method selected by the buyer. Instead of having parcels delivered to buyer’s doorstep, it will be delivered to buyer’s choice of collection point.

SKU Setting for Collection Point

With effect from 1st March 2020, all parcels that meet the conditions below will be able to provide the shipment option of collection point to the customers during checkout.

Step 1:
Collection point delivery option will be enabled for customer as long as the parcel dimensions are eligible. Collection point parcels are fulfilled by Ninjavan. Sellers who are not served by Ninjavan will have parcels assigned to Ninjavan if buyer choose collection point as their shipping method. Please ensure to handover these parcels to the right logistic partner. (you may verify which 3PL is assigned to a specific parcel in Order Management)

Note : Sellers are unable to withdraw from this option.

Step 2:
Collection point will be available for all categories except grocery, digital goods, and dangerous goods.

Step 3:

Package wight and dimensions updated in Seller Centre must fit the Ninjavan collection point locker.

  • Package weight 5.00 KG and below

  • Package dimensions: 80 CM (Length + Width + height)

Tip #1:
Ensure that your SKU dimensions and weight are inclusive of your exterior and additional packaging that are used to protect your parcel from damage during transportation.

Tip #2:
Parcels with inaccurate dimensions that does not fit into Ninjavan collection point lockers at the point of delivery, will be re-directed to door delivery automatically and will be left at the customer’s doorstep.

The shipment provider logo indicated on the shipping label to clearly identify the shipment provider to handover the parcels.

Note: Orders that customers opted for collection point delivery will only be fulfilled by Ninjavan, therefore sellers would have to sort carefully and handover all collection point delivery parcels to Ninjavan only.

Tip #3:
Be present and ensure the parcels are scanned and handover successfully to the correct shipment provider. Collection point parcels may end up as lost/ not received if alternative shipment providers are unable to deliver parcels addressed to a Ninjavan collection point or returned back to the sender.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

1. Are there any notification(s) to remind the customer to collect their package?
Yes, Ninjavan will send a collection reminder through SMS and email. You may wish to inform your customers gently through CHAT IM that their package is ready for collection.


2. How long does the customer have to collect the package once it is at the collection point?

The customer will have 48 hours to collect the package from the collection point.


3. What would happen if the customer did not collect the package?

The package will be returned to the sender and would be regarded as failed delivery.


4. What would happen if the collection point is full?


If the collection point is full, a SMS will be sent to the customer and request them to select an alternative collection point.

In the event that the customer failed to select an alternative collection point within the next 48 hours, the delivery package will be delivered to the customer's doorstep.


5. What would happen if the package cannot fit the collection point?

Do ensure that your SKU weight and dimension maintained in the seller centre are updated accurately, as all SKUs that meet the above criteria will be eligible for collection point delivery option during the customer's checkout.

In the event that the customer purchases more than 1 SKU within the same order and opted for collection point delivery. Do ensure that the items are packed and initiate a "Ready To Ship" at item/order level appropriately.


Do pack your parcels as per the package dimensions that does not exceed the collection point's dimensions and weight. (L+W+H = less than 80 CM, weight = <5 KG).

Also, do remember to generate the correct number of shipping labels.


In the event if a customer checkout's 2 or more SKUs in the same order and selected collection point, you will need to pack them appropriately so that the package dimensions does not exceed the collection point's criteria (L+W+H = less than 80 CM weight = <5 KG).

You will also need to generate the correct number of shipping labels as you will need to consider every item of the same order as an individual order (= generate multiple shipping labels) if ever 2 of your SKUs cannot fit the collection point package criteria.


Scenario Examples:

Customer A checks out the following 2 SKU under 1 order with the collection point delivery,

1) Item 1 package weight = 3 KG
2) Item 1 package dimension = 20 cm + 20 cm + 10 cm

1) Item 2 package weight = 1 KG
2) Item 2 package dimension = 4 cm + 4 cm + 4 cm

Seller A would be able to generate 1 airway bill as he is able to pack both item 1 and 2 under the same package for collection point delivery. The total dimension is less than (80 CM, 24 CM + 24 CM + 10 CM) and the package weight is below 5 KG (3+1 = 4 KG). 

Customer B checks out the following 2 SKU under 1 order with the collection point delivery

1) Item 1 package weight = 4 KG
2) Item 1 package dimension = 20 cm + 20 cm + 20 cm

1) Item 2 package weight = 1 KG
2) Item 2 package dimension = 20 cm + 20 cm + 10 cm


Seller B would not be able to pack both items into 1 single parcel for collection point as the dimensions are above the criteria of 80 CM (Length + Width + Height).

Seller B will have to generate 2 airway bills and initiate "Ready To Ship" at item level. Item A and item B will have to be packed separately and individual airway bilss will have to be sticked on each parcel.
